peter senges's learning organization

Peter Senge, a theorist of learning organization has succeeded at bringing systems thinking to those who actually manage corporations. When a system of a corporation has lack of knowledge, they then have a disability which prolongs them from excelling. There are five features that the learning organization exhibit, one that stood out in particular is personal mastery. Stating that all members share a personal commitment to learning and self reflection. My dad owns a real estate company and when he sits down with his team he wants everybody to be committed and open minded to learn new theories. Senge then says that there is a major shift of mind, which seems like that part, would be the self motivating side of it. Chapter 4

  1. Personal mastery is such an important part of an organizations success. I think building a team who utilizes this concept makes for a suxccessful organization. It also in my opinion, builds confidence and can act as a motivator. subordiantes see how people get excited and create their own goals petaining a particular issue and it sort of lets them see what it is like to be a true team player. I thnk it is great that your dad approached his meetings with an open mind and allows the team members to voice their opinions on various matters.
